liddleAlan Liddle is an experienced technical executive in Information Technology and cyber security.

He has over 18 years experience in IT systems management at Director level. In addition to his broad IT expertise, he has specialist capabilities in cyber security, cryptographic and assured systems. These include national ID cards, Smart meters, ICAO passports, military communications and high assurance databases. Recent experience includes major UK CNI cryptographic systems, telecoms, cyber protection, electronic signature, smartcard and PKI implementations.

Alan spent 16 years as an officer in the Royal Navy. He qualified as a nuclear engineer serving in attack submarines and at the National Defence University, Washington DC. In 1995 he joined Trusted Information Systems. He directed the Cryptographic Products Division in Europe, and managed provision of consulting services in cyber security to private and government sectors. In December 1998 he joined Trustis, as a founding Director. Alan has experience of directing numerous major IT projects in many countries. Amongst his academic and professional qualifications he has an MSC in Computer Science, an advanced postgraduate diploma in IT Management, and Postgraduate Diploma in Nuclear Reactor Technology. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Chartered Engineer.
