bud-picAndrew Bud is the founder and CEO of iProov, which focuses on secure online authentication using face verification and unique attack detection technology. With large clients, numerous granted patents and many prizes to its name, iProov is noted for the ease of use of its high security solution. Andrew is an experienced technology entrepreneur and leader with a career spanning 30 years in mobile. In 1999 he founded mBlox, now the world’s largest provider of SMS transmission for enterprise applications. As CEO he built mBlox into a successful high-throughput technology-based service business; as Executive Chairman from 2003, when it became a US company and grew to 6bn transactions per year, and as a Board director serving from 2010 until it was sold to CLX Networks in 2016.

Since 2008 Bud has been the Chairman of MEF, the global trade association of the mobile content and commerce industry, which specialises in personal data, consumer trust and mobile messaging. He has been a non-executive director of the UK regulator PSA – the Phonepaid Services Authority, and currently serves as a non-executive director on the Boards of ETX Capital and Passiv Systems, which he chairs. As former head of mobile for Olivetti in Italy, he was a member of the founding team of Omnitel Pronto Italia (now Vodafone Italia). In 2009 he was named one of the top 40 telecoms professionals in the world.
